Cancun, Mayan Riviera and some other parts of Mexico have been under protective environmental policies since the eastern part of Mexico started being developed for tourism; making them capital of the most frequently visited ecological parks in the world. For ecotourists, this is the place to enjoy what you love best.

Experience all of nature’s goodness at Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve while learning about protecting and preserving natural resources (Sian Kaan tour guides educate their visitors in fulfillment to their objective to extend preservation not just within their eco-park but to each visitor to apply outside.) Meet a wide variety of wildlife species to include almost 350 species of birds, crocodiles, various types of sea turtles and a set of endangered species of cat such as jaguar, puma, ocelot and margay.

Isla Contoy, Croco Cun and Acuario Playacar are three other venues for nature watching. Watch a farm of large crocodiles at Croco Cun, and while you’re there, drop by at Acuario Playacar, where an aquarium showcases all the wonders that snorkelers in and around Cancun would see. After which, enjoy a sky of marvelous birds at Isla Contoy just a boat ride away from Isla Mujeres.

There are more ecotourist parks in Cancun. See Rio Lagartos Reserve, Calakmul Biosphere Reserve, Yum Balam reserve, Chinchooro National Park or Puerto Morelos and enjoy more ecological adventures.
